The Story Behind Svolta

Svolta was inspired by the founders' own children. In naming the brand, they mixed up parts of their kids' names and came up with Svolta — and discovered that in Italian, svolta means a turn or a bend in the road. Roman millennials have adopted the word and given it a new meaning: luck. Both interpretations work perfectly. 

The mission is to encourage an active lifestyle for families — starting by creating awesome, premium scooters and skateboards for kids, with three important underlying goals: Creativity. Activity. Community.

Svolta makes never-boring, gender-neutral and unisex scooters and products for kids — by creating the balance between feminine and masculine color combinations, Svolta scooters will never be blatantly identified as a "boy scooter" or "girl scooter." 

Much of their inspiration comes from mid-century modern color palettes from fashion and interior design — art, music, and pop culture influences that make Svolta products genuinely stylish. Their lightning bolt logo pays homage to David Bowie, a lifelong symbol of creativity and individuality.
